Asus Zenfone 5 Review!

Asus, a company who was hugely into the computer world has now entered the smartphone world. Asus launched several phones like
Asus zenfone 4
Asus zenfone 5
Asus zenfone pad and lot more..

But the special one which first got hype was Asus zenfone 5 which was a bidget smartphone at just 10k in India which was a big deal as it was having 2gb RAM and some great specs coupled in too.

Physical Overview
So here is the physical overview, phone is again plastic available in black & white or full black option and tried both version and felt back and white was better option was an better option. The build quality isn't great its as you will expect at this price cracking plastic and buttons are made up of fake metal most probably its also plastic. But it has some curve at back which make it ease to hold and thats just the good thing i found about the build quality.

Display
Moving onto the display its a 720p LCD panel which is again isn't a game changer. This display isn't color accurate and viewing angles are not strong point and lacks contrast. The display isn't quite bright and perfect for overall use.

Performance
The phone is rockin' an Intel Atom dual core processor which isn't that much powerful but capable of doing regular stuff fluidly. The phone handles the daily task pretty smoothly but turn you heads to heavy load work and multitasking you will see frames drops and lags across the whole UI.
Some demanding games are capable of slowing down the phone.

Software
Asus zenfone 5 is rockin' its own custom android skin called ZenUI which is my least favourite part of the phone this skin crazy heavy and slows down the phone alot and it is never able to let system user its full 2gig RAM. It in normal just provide 800mb to 1050mb of RAM for user to play with. Camera is super slow with this either. On otherside the good thing is that this phone has got some serious updates like it was launched with jelly bean 4.3 and it is on android lollipop 5.0.1 which is great.

Camera
Its ok in day light and worse in every other condition. Image processing is also not quite well.
And same with front facing which is more worse than this. But acceptable at this price.

Battery
This thing as also get dim with every update. But still now it gives over 3.5 hrs of on screen time which is fine for average person usage.

Conclusion
This phone is great at 10k and better than its main competitor Moto G 2nd gen. which is ohk. Great bank for buck!
